🌗 Last Quarter
revision · letting go · conscience · crisis of meaning
- Angle
- 270° — the closing square
- Illumination
- about 50% lit, shrinking
- In the cycle
- days twenty-one to twenty-four
Half lit again, but on the other side, and squaring the Sun from behind. The old texts call it the crisis of consciousness: the friction now is between what you believed at the start of the cycle and what actually happened.
It is the tidiest place in the month to end something. Whatever you stop here tends to stay stopped, because the decision is made with the whole cycle in view rather than in a burst of enthusiasm.
What it is good for
- Quit, cancel, close, forgive — one item, deliberately.
- Revise the belief rather than blaming the outcome.
- Clear space before the dark Moon; do not fill it yet.
